Fusion axles are designed and built to last, so we believe the paint should too. We’ve all been there… laying under the vehicle, rattle can in hand, touching up paint and inevitably getting overspray everywhere it wasn’t supposed to be. Fusion believes in constant innovation and improvement, down to the smallest details like the paint on your axles. We are excited to announce that we have recently switched to a new paint application and process.
Elite axles deserve an Elite 3 step paint process. The process and the paint:
- Axles get the spa treatment with a 3500 PSI hot pressure wash, including a phosphorus mix final rinse.
- Following the spa day, axles are sprayed with a Vinyl Self Etching Industrial Primer engineered for final coating. This provides excellent corrosion resistance and adhesion properties.
- A final spray coating consists of the highest quality Industrial Acrylic Polyurethane resulting in a 4-6 mil thick coating that is 500-hour salt spray rated.
The final result is a durable, high gloss, chemical resistant finish. This tougher, longer lasting paint means our customers can spend more time going on adventures and using Fusion products, and less time watching paint dry.
This new paint is now standard on all Fusion axle assemblies (unless the customer requests to exclude paint)!
