This month, we are featuring two absolutely jaw-dropping Gladiator builds: MAXGLAD and Gobirito! These aren’t your average pickup trucks that you’ll spot down at the local hardware store. From bobbed beds to custom suspension to Fusion axles, these JTs were built to dominate the trails.
MAXGLAD is a 2020 Jeep Gladiator JT Rubicon owned by Hugh Neill out of California. This Gladiator, recently dubbed “The King of Cali” at the 2021 Jeep Super Show, is the brainchild of a visionary and a master craftsman. It is powered by an LS3 Bruiser Conversion with a ZF 8HP75 transmission, installed by Sin City Diesel & Offroad. That kind of horsepower and torque requires axles with some serious beef. MAXGLAD is running a Fusion Super Kingpin HP60 Front axle built on the Fusion Gen 2 HP60 Pro casting with industry first 4” diameter axle tubes, Fusion 40 Spline 1550 Chromoly Axle Shafts, paired with a Fusion 40 spline “Big Tube” 14 Bolt Rear Axle. He also recently switched from running Hydro Assist to Fusion Double Shear Full Hydro Steering Arms with a 3” Bore PSC Double Ended Ram.
Hugh was laser focused on maximizing off-road performance, so he tapped KrashFab to make his vision a reality. MAXGLAD is running custom KrashFab Suspension with a triangulated 4 link front with 14” travel 3.0 IBP remote reservoir King Coilovers, and a double triangulated 4 link rear suspended by 16” King Coilovers. No build is complete without a serious set of wheels and tires. KMC KM235 Grenade Crawl Beadlock Wheels wrapped with 42” Maxxis Trepadors have conquered trails from the Rubicon in California, to Moab, Utah, and Sand Hollow State Park in Hurricane, Utah.
Gobirito is a 2020 Gobi Jeep Gladiator JT Rubicon owned by Jared Vejrostek out of Colorado. You won’t miss the eye-catching neon green Raceline Avengers and 42” Nitto Trail Grapplers, but the true heart of this beast lies beneath its brilliant exterior! The neon green fill plug peeking out from under the Gladiator teases the senses before seeing the Fusion Pro Fabricated 10” Axles. He optioned up the axles with our 40 spline rear upgrade that includes the industries largest forged 4340 chromoly spindles and hubs, then paired with Fusion 4340 chromoly axle shafts and ARB Competition Air Locker.
Jared’s Gladiator has no shortage of flex to go with all of that beef. Whether he is daily driving or tackling the trails, his Rock Krawler 4.5” Adventure-X “No Limits” Long Arm Coilover Suspension System does it all. From the mountain trails of Colorado to the red rock of Sand Hollow, this Gladiator is equipped to handle any obstacle and look good while doing it!
Both of these Fusion Axle equipped Gladiators will be at Trail Hero in Hurricane, Utah on October 4th through the 9th. If you spot them, be sure to check them out!
